This weekend I went up to the Port Sydney area and stayed at a relatives cottage. It was such a great weekend! I was able to spend time with family which is always wonderful, even if they drive you crazy haha. I also was able to make friends with some deer! There were a bunch that were just hanging out in the backyard and they let you get super close! I hope to get a picture up soon for you to see! I was also able to enjoy some wonderful turkey dinners! One up north and then another closer to home with more family! All in all I would say this is one of the best thanksgivings I've had yet! I hope everyone reading this had a fabulous one as well!
Until next time!

When life hands you lemons....
So this is my first blog. Hello to all you bloggers out there and also to all you Nipissing Students! My name is KG. I'm a second year concurrent education student, though I am not a North Bay. I am actually based in Brantford and am attending Laurier and Nipissing! It's a really cool program and I'm glad to have chosen it. My plan for this blog in the upcoming year is just to post cool things that I have noticed, raise awareness of things that I find really important in my life, rant about things that are frustrating and just give you all a piece of my mind. I hope you all enjoy and keep reading because it makes this all a little more worthwhile!!
So the title of my blog today has a very predictable ending...right? wrong! When life hands you lemons you can make lemonade! Make the best of the situation and that's great! I always reccomend doing that! But i say keep going...don't stop with lemons....after you make lemonade, why don't you eat an apple? Be creative! Strut your stuff! For example, as a "starving" university student, money is clearly an issue for many. Yes we have things like OSAP but it doesn't always cut it. Yes we can get jobs, but you can only work so many hours a week before you start failing quizes that you should be getting A's in. Now's the time to get more creative! Enter a contest! Be your own boss! Work 2 jobs in the summer and enjoy your year without having to juggle schedules! Your 4 or 5 years in university are supposed to be the best years of your life right? There is no point in stressing over things because all it will do is make you miss those years and all of a sudden you'll be a 40 year old mom or dad with 2 kids and a cat that drives you crazy! Think about it.
Tata for now!
